Dr. David Wei is a distinguished board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon with specialized fellowship training in Hand and Upper Extremity surgery. An acclaimed academic and clinician, Dr. Wei has significantly contributed to the field with numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbooks that have earned him invitations to deliver lectures and presentations nationwide. He balances his clinical practice by serving on the Clinical Governance Board at Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery Specialists and as the Chair of the Business of Hand Surgery Committee for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
Dr. Wei is notably proficient in advanced procedures, including microsurgical nerve reconstruction, arthroscopic treatment for wrist and elbow disorders, tendon reconstruction and repair, and endoscopic treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome. His skillful practice extends to diagnosing and treating a range of pediatric and adult upper extremity conditions such as arthritis, fractures, sports injuries, nerve compression syndromes, and more.
Educationally, Dr. Wei’s impressive background includes a magna cum laude Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from Yale University in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry.
