Jeff Pokorny, MD has been deeply entrenched in the medical field since the age of 18, beginning his journey as an orderly in the emergency room. His dedication to medicine saw him working through his medical school years at North Eastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, where he excelled academically and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, a testament to his commitment and skill. After earning his medical degree, Dr. Pokorny honed his surgical skills with both general and specialized plastic surgery training at St. Louis University Hospital. His quest for expertise led him to pursue a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the esteemed University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Pokorny’s career is marked by significant leadership roles and contributions to the field, having served as the section chief of plastic surgery at the Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, Pennsylvania, for three years. His professional journey also took him to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he practiced at Leber and Banducci Plastic Surgery. In August 2009, Dr. Pokorny brought his wealth of experience and skill to North Carolina, founding Carolina Coastal Plastic Surgery, where he continues to deliver exemplary care and transformative outcomes for his patients.
