Dr. Alan J. Micev, MD, a Las Vegas native, dreamed from a young age of becoming a doctor. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, he obtained his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed a comprehensive Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, developing a passion for hand and upper extremity surgery.
He further specialized through a fellowship in Hand, Upper Extremity, and Microsurgery at the Philadelphia Hand Center and Thomas Jefferson University. In 2016, Dr. Micev returned to Las Vegas and joined the Hand Center of Nevada to address the local need for specialized care.
Dr. Micev emphasizes holistic patient care, favoring minimally invasive treatments and considering personal interests and lifestyle in his treatment plans. He actively educates future doctors through workshops and lectures and participates in global medical missions providing complex hand surgeries.
Board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery with a subspecialty in Hand/Upper Extremity Surgery, Dr. Micev also enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures in his spare time.
