Dr. Michael Orion Madden, DO, MA, is a distinguished, board-certified orthopedic hand surgeon, boasting dual fellowship training in his field. Hailing from northern Wisconsin, Dr. Madden was awarded an academic scholarship to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where he graduated summa cum laude in chemistry. He subsequently earned a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ.
Dr. Madden obtained his medical degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and was inducted into the Sigma Sigma Phi honors fraternity. Post-medical school, he completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where he was honored as South Florida resident of the year. He further pursued specialized training with a fellowship in Hand/Microsurgery at the University of Minnesota, where he gained extensive experience in minimally invasive techniques and WALANT (wide awake local anesthetic no tourniquet) surgery for the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow. Additionally, Dr. Madden undertook another fellowship in regenerative medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, specializing in ultrasound and fluoroscopic guided stem cell injections.
Residing in Phoenix, Dr. Madden shares his life with his wife, Nichelle, a Mohs Surgeon, and their two children.
He enjoys activities such as cooking, hiking, mountain biking, collecting sneakers, and cherishing moments with his family.
