About Dr. Stuart Patterson
Dr. Stuart Patterson is a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon with specialization in adult and pediatric upper limb disorders, focusing on areas such as the elbow, wrist, and hand. His expertise covers microsurgery, peripheral nerve surgery, tendon and ligament injuries, as well as arthritic joint replacements and reconstructions of the elbow, wrist, and hand.
With a rich international background obtained from training and working across several continents, Dr. Patterson brings a wealth of knowledge to his practice. Starting his medical journey at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, he furthered his experience with diverse roles in England and Canada before returning to South Africa for rigorous surgical training. His dedication led him to esteemed fellowships at St. Michaels Hospital, and the University of South Florida, augmenting his skills in upper extremity and hand surgery.
Notably, Dr. Patterson has made significant contributions to the development of joint prostheses, impacting patient care globally. With over 150 presentations and more than 35 peer-reviewed publications, he is highly respected within the community.
Dr. Patterson is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery in both Canada and the United States and continues to innovate and advance in his field from his practice in Central Florida.
