When clinically indicated, a patient can have ultrasound-guided carpal tunnel release performed on both wrists on the same day. There are several published manuscripts that include outcomes data on patients who had simultaneous bilateral releases.3,6,7,10
Postoperative therapy is typically not required.5

A native of Buffalo, New York, Dr. Marwin's academic journey began at The George Washington University, where he excelled as a varsity athlete, significantly contributing to the Men's Varsity Heavyweight Crew Team’s success. Following his military service, he pursued a specialized fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Jacobs School of Medicine, honing his expertise in treating a comprehensive range of conditions from the shoulder to the fingertip.
Despite his busy professional life, Dr. Marwin completed an MBA at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, underscoring his commitment to leadership and healthcare management. He enjoys quality time with his wife and four children, alongside pursuing his passion for the outdoors.
